Hypnosis and healing with Stephanie Dalfonzo

She Conquers Fears & Phobias with Hypnosis!

Hypnosis to overcome fear

A TRUE STORY OF USING HYPNOSIS FOR ANXIETY: I am a 62-year-old male. For the last six or seven years I had developed a fear of stairs and heights. I could not get up or down the staircases in my home. On those days I would crawl up the stairs and come down on my rear-end like a 15-month-old toddler. This fear was interfering with my life. With the agreement of my physician, I decided to try hypnosis. I contacted Stephanie Dalfonzo. She was encouraging, helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and patient. I can now navigate the stairs in my home without the gripping fear I lived with for so long. I should have done this years ago. I am also proud that I conquered this fear. Fear and Phobias Are More Common Than We Let On: Hypnosis for anxiety can help

Fear and phobias are more common than many would believe. Hypnosis for anxiety, fears and phobias is not something many people are aware can be their ticket to freedom! In the New York Times, JILL WERMAN HARRIS wrote a very personal article about dealing with her claustrophobia (click here to read article). I applaud her willingness to share her experience and yet I feel really sad for her, as she navigates every day trying to find a way to deal with it. I’m sure many New Yorkers are reading the article and saying “me too”. Freedom is a lot closer and a lot easier than they think!

As my client (from many years ago) shares above, it IS possible to conquer a fear or phobia- easily and quickly – with hypnosis! I’ve helped HUNDREDS of clients overcome their fears of flying, claustrophobia, fear of public speaking, fears of driving on highways and bridges, fear of needles, and even one client who had an intense fear that he would soil his pants while driving.

In her article, Ms. Harris mentions “exposure therapy” – where you experience the fear a little bit, then a little bit more. This is insane to me! One of the basic tenets of my practice is, and always has been, that healing can be gentle. WHY would I want to re-traumatize my clients in the “hope” that maybe that would eventually lead to them getting past their fear and phobias?

I’m sad that she doesn’t seem to have any idea that hypnosis for anxiety is so incredibly effective!

I’m also sad for Ms. Harris’ children as she mentions “Sadly, it was a spectacular display of florid insanity for my then-young children”. In my experience, I’ve had many clients who had these fears and phobias as a learned response from their parents! The good news is, hypnosis for anxiety can be your ticket to freedom!

Albert Einstein said years ago “Problems cannot be solved with the same mind-set that created them.” Fears and phobias are created in the conscious mind, so no amount of talking at the conscious level is going to resolve them!

Using Hypnosis for Anxiety, to Conquer Fear and Phobias

A perfect example of this is my client Sarah, who overcame used hypnosis for anxiety to get over her fear of flying and now has visited all 7 continents and has her own business “The Five Foot Traveler!” It’s hard to believe when you see her photographs, but there really was a point in time when she was so paralyzed and controlled by her fear of flying that she wouldn’t and couldn’t get on an airplane!!

Think of your brain like an iceberg. You only see about 10% above the waterline – that represents the conscious mind. The 90% below the surface represents the unconscious mind! That is where our issues reside and where we can easily access them for healing.

Many people think of hypnosis as swinging pocket watches and barking like a dog or clucking like a chicken. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Close your eyes for a moment and become aware of what you hear in the room you are in and perhaps the room next door or outside. That is what it feels like to be in hypnosis!

Hypnosis is a relaxed, naturally occurring state of mind. Have you ever been driving, deep in thought, and found that you missed your exit? Have you ever been so engrossed in a book or movie that you didn’t hear someone calling your name? These are both common hypnotic experiences where you experience a light state of hypnosis. When in hypnosis, you are in a heightened state of awareness, allowing us to contact the unconscious mind directly where we are able to accept change much more readily.

Trying to manage your fears or phobias totally shrinks your world to almost nothing. It robs you of your ability to enjoy all of the good things this life has to offer. It’s also exhausting and completely unnecessary! There IS a better way – a way that leaves you feeling empowered and in control! How would you like to feel like that kind of feeling ? That’s what happens when you use hypnosis for anxiety relief.

If you find yourself living in a similar situation, I would love to have a conversation with you about getting your freedom back. Isn’t it time? 1. Would hypnosis be good for debilitating anxietyundefineddepression? I don’t really have negative thoughts..the symptoms of anxiety come crashing in without any thought having occurred. I’m losing my ability to make it through the symptoms and need help desperately! I am also learning to loss weight.
