You ARE Enough

you are good enough

You ARE Enough

Are you kind — to yourself?

Today’s Wellness Wednesday tip is to be kinder to yourself. Pandemic fatigue is real. Even the most upbeat and positive of us are feeling worn down, dragged out, stressed out and depressed.

So what can we do? We start by being kinder to ourselves. I used to have an inner critic voice who said the nastiest things – things I would never in a million years say to another human being. As if shaming myself was somehow helpful.

Elizabeth Gilbert shares a story in Eat, Pray, Love where she is rushing into a building and catches sight of a friend, goes rushing to hug her, only to realize that she is looking at herself in a mirror! She shared in her journal:

“Never forget that once upon a time, in an unguarded moment,

You recognized yourself as a friend.”

5 Ways to Be Kinder to Yourself

Take some time for yourself every day!

Be your own cheerleader!

Let go of needing to be “Polly Perfect” – especially during these crazy times!

Turn down the volume on your inner critic and turn up the volume on your self advocate.

Tell yourself “I AM ENOUGH.”

My wise daughter Crissi has this beautiful quote from Sierra Boggess on her phone to remind herself many times a day.

You are enough

You are so enough

It is unbelievable

How enough you are

I see YOU and I KNOW you ARE SO enough!
